Here is a cute picture of a meerkat, also known as a suricate. This female lives in a zoo but in the wild they live in southern Africa. They live in larges groups, called mobs which are led by one dominant female (matriarch). Talk about girl power! Only the dominant female is allowed to have babies, which are known as pups. |
