The harpy eagle, American harpy eagle, or royal-hawk (Harpia harpyja) is a neotropical species of eagle. It is the largest and most powerful raptor found throughout its range, and among the largest extant species of eagles in the world. Rare throughout its range, the harpy eagle is found from Mexico, through Central America and into South America to as far south as Argentina. I think these birds look prehistoric. I think they are beautiful birds. They haven't harmed us, well just watch your lil children. They should not be wiped out one reason they where there first and we invade there territory. We need to respect the animal. Second it's talons and beak are the only things that it has to protect it's self from other animals that hunt it. Third it doesn't populate as fast as the regular birds, and fourth it is not an eating mechine like a shark.
