Hauraki Gulf New Zealand Pelagic Tours Birdwatching Gallery - unique New Zealand seabirds
Breeds February to November
Dispersal/migration
In summer and autumn immature Grey petrels move to areas off eastern coast of North island. Adults rarely move north of 45 S during this period.
During the breeding season adult females move further north than males, with winter and spring concentration known for areas of east Cape. We can now confirm their presence of North Auckland coast (19 June 05) during this period.
