CAPTION: Ducks, Geese, and Swans
COMPARED TO many groups of birds, ducks, geese, and swans are easy to recognize. Nearly all have a flattened beak, short legs, and webbed feet. Most are strong fliers. Ducks, geese, and swans spend much of their life on or near water. Collectively, they are often known as waterflowl.

If threatened, swans use their powerful wings and beak as weapons.
Canada Goose
Geese can swim well, bu feed on land. They eat grass, pulling it up with a sharp tug of their neck.
