형태적 특징
몸 빛깔은 등쪽부분은 자색을 띤 회청색이며, 배쪽은 은백색이다.
어릴 때에는 주둥이 끝에서 꼬리자루 윗쪽 끝부분까지 짙은 회갈색의 세로띠가 있으며,
또 제2등지느러미 앞부분과 꼬리지느러미 아래 위로 흑색의 큰 반점이 있다.
