You have a good collection of snakes.
Yes, the photos were taken in the wild. Black racers are very common in my
neck of the woods, this one just happened to be under one of my cover
boards. Was hoping to find a juvenile mole kingsnake (Lampropeltis
calligaster rhombomaculata), but found the racer instead. Black racers in
general don't make good pets as they are extermely active, highly-strung
animals.
