Buzzards are superb gliders and soarers, keeping their wings stretched out and their outer primary feathers spread like the fingers of a hand. The augur buzzard of eastern and southern Africa, has a far-carrying, laughing call. It often perches on telegraph poles and other vantage points, on the lookout for prey. |
