The reticulated python is the longest snake in the world and can weigh up to 250 pounds. Its bold net-like skin pattern can be gold and black with grey splotches edged in black along the back and sides. There are white triangular markings between the grey splotches on the sides. The head is gray with a black stripe running down the top, ending in a circular marking on the neck. The entire body radiates an iridescent sheen. They possess approximately 100 long teeth which aid in pulling prey into its mouth. |
