Pectoral sparrow in Suriname, South America
Photos, both made by J.S Dunning in Suriname in 1978. The
sound
of the Pectoral sparrow
was recorded by Otte Ottema in the
Bakhuis area in Suriname in May 2006. It is found in forests and
savanna, often near the ground and searching between fallen
leaves.
Each small square indicates the observation of at least one
(group) of these birds, the medium ones at least 4 observations
on different days and the largest ones 10 or more. The color of
each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow for savanna
and red for rainforest.
