I have never encountered any sites with outstanding pictures,
but you could try a search engine like Alta Vista.
You may not found interesting sites at once, but
sites that are not promising themselves might
contain links to other sites. It often helps to
use scientific names for your search.
I would suggest you just do some surfing,
and add bookmarks for all promising sites.
And of course there are general archives
like http://bioinfo.kordic.re.kr/animal/
You may also check the dutch newsgroup
nl.vogels.vogelaar, assuming you understand dutch
mostly observations and quarreling,
but might contain pointers to useful sites.
As far as sounds are concerned,
I do have some WAV-files that
I can send by E-mail and some pictures
that I can post.
