[National Geographic Wallpaper] Donacia Leaf Beetle (뿌리잎벌레)
Unknown
1975
Bianca Lavies
"Surveying her handiwork, a Donacia beetle pauses over the hole she has just chewed in a lily pad. She then lowers her abdomen through the opening, gluing her eggs in concentric arcs to the underside of the pad. After about ten days the larvae hatch and make their way underground, where they latch onto plant stems and roots and hack them open with sharp spines."
