What is this? Need a Bird ID
Anyone know what type of bird this is? He was in a zoo aviary, so I'm
guessing he's an exotic. I loved the surprised look on his face. No
filters. The bird _was that red and the sky _was that blue. Taken 1/15/01
in Tucson.

I looked the Bearded Barbet up and saw a bird with red and black markings,
but the eye and bill colors were much different as well as having no
feathers fluffed out around the bill. (here's my picture of him again)

here's the URL of the Bearded Barbet I found on the 'Net.
There are many different varieties of the Barbet, though, and I'll bet it's
one of them. I'll keep looking.
Thanks
