The sloth bear (Melursus ursinus), also known as the labiated bear, is a nocturnal insectivorous bear species native to the Indian subcontinent.

The sun bear (Helarctos malayanus) is a bear found in tropical forest habitats of Southeast Asia.

The grizzly bear or North American brown bear (Ursus arctos horribilis), less commonly known as the silvertip bear, is a large subspecies of brown bear inhabiting North America. The grizzly bear ranges from Alaska east through the Yukon and Northwest Territories, south through British Columbia and through the western half of Alberta.

The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) is a carnivorous bear whose native range lies largely within the Arctic Circle.

The American black bear (Ursus americanus) is a medium-sized bear native to North America.
