참돌고래 Delphinus delphis
참돌고래과에 딸린 고래의 하나. 몸길이 1~4m쯤이며 양쪽 턱에는 이가 있다. 등지느러미는 몸의 중앙에 낫 모양에서부터 곧게 선 것까지 있다. 주둥이는 새부리처럼 생겼고 등과 옆구리 위쪽은 검은색 또는 갈색이 도는 검은색이다. 지중해, 흑해를 포함하는 모든 열대 및 온대의 바다에 분포한다.
