This sequence is a snap of a lioness who was sitting
on the hill watching the gnus go by. (Next to the yawning
hippos, but off to the side, this one. It was a good corner. ;-)
Anyway, she knew she couldn't catch the gnus, but she did see
the warthog. The gnus see her, start running, but she
doesn't go after them. I think these photos are actually in
order. I also have this on video. Pretty cool. Maybe I'll
post it after compressing it better.
Oh, she didn't catch the warthog, either.

with a not-too-good scanner.
Released to the Public Domain,
