Two of the sweetest ears I've ever photographed :-) Fennec fox nap in Heidelberg Zoo
Hi again,
I am a little euphoric about this picture. As you can see, it was partly
dark shadow, partly bright sunlight when it was taken - usually, the
result is a good-for nothing shot because the contrast range of the film
would be exceeded. But - this was taken through one of those dirty glass
walls that would take away almost half of the contrast which I usually
hate but in this case literally saved the picture. Moreover, because of
foxie's short nose, the muzzle, the ears and the eyes all were in the
layer of sharpness which is rare with the long lens being used at such a
short distance. Taken in Heidelberg Zoo in August 2000 during
professional commitments in South Germany. By the way, this is 1024/768
and should make about the sweetest wallpaper I ever had - I can't wait
to put it on my office machine tomorrow :-)
