Are Florida panthers ever dark. I saw a very large feline about 3 in the morning on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. We live next to the state park and see bobcat frequently. This was not a bobcat. Nor was it a feral or domesticated cat. It was as large as a young adult Labrador Retriever.
