Pesquet's Parrot (Psittrichas fulgidus) is a large parrot found in New Guinea. It has striking black and red plumage and a distinctive hooked bill for its fruit-heavy diet, mainly figs. This nomadic bird is often seen in pairs or small groups and is classified as Vulnerable due to hunting and habitat loss. |
