The Egyptian mongoose (Herpestes ichneumon), also known as the ichneumon, is a species of mongoose.
The Indian grey mongoose or common grey mongoose (Herpestes edwardsii) is a mongoose species mainly found in West Asia and on the Indian subcontinent.
