When i took this shot i thought maybe this was a baby egret
with its mother but a friend thought maybe is was some other
type of bird... so here i am asking... what is it?

The large one looks like a Great Egret...black
legs & yellow bill...
The smaller looks like a Snowy Egret...black
legs & black bill...

I agree with the ID. Great and Snowy egrets. Was the picture taken in
Florida? I loved the moody character of the photograph.
