I'm afraid crystalfox is wrong. This is, in fact, a bat-eared fox and not a wild
dog. The muzzle is shorter and thinner than the dogs'. The legs are also shorter and
the feet rather dainty. A wild dog's legs are rather long. The ears are not as rounded
and disk shaped as a wild dog's and the overall appearance is that of a slighter animal
since the fox is only a fraction the size of the dog. Perhaps crystalfox is confusing
the bat eared-fox with the fennec fox, which has extremely large ears. Or whatever,
it doesn't matter. I'm sure crystalfox's animal knowledge is extensive (how many other
people have even heard of this animal) but this is unquestionably a bat-eared fox.
Having said all that, thanks for posting all the handsome pics. |
