Setarches guentheri, channeled rockfish or deepwater scorpionfish, is a species of deep-sea bristly scorpionfishes (Setarchidae). Setarches guentheri is a bathydemersal fish at depths of 150-780 m. It frequents the Atlantic and the Pacific. Setarches guentheri usually measure around 80 mm but some individuals can reach 240 mm. Body gray or pink, covered with very small cycloid scales. |
