Description
English: Leptodeira septentronalis (Northern cat-eye snake) spotted on a night walk in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. (Our guide told us that they feed on the red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidryas) and its eggs, and quickly found such a frog nearby.)

The northern cat-eyed snake (Leptodeira septentrionalis) is a species of snake belonging to the genus Leptodeira. Its area of distribution includes the southern United States (South Texas), Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and northern Peru. Order: Squamata, Family: Colubridae.
