The sepia stingray (Urolophus aurantiacus) is a small stingaree with a sub-circular, kite-shaped disc, typically growing up to 40 cm in length. Its colouration is greyish-brown on top with a dark midline stripe and white on the underside with a dark margin. This demersal, marine ray lives in temperate waters of the Northwest Pacific and is classified as vulnerable due to high fishing pressure. |
