http://shep.mcmedia.com.au/mpps/brush.html
The Brush Tailed Phascogale spends the day in a tree hole; in the
night it hunts in trees for insects and other arthropods and small
vertebrates. It also forages on the ground and may attack. They mate
around June. The female has eight teats but has no pouch. The young
remain attached to the teats for about six weeks. Males die shortly
after mating.
LENGTH: 350 - 450mm
HABITAT: open, well-watered forest, often on ridges with sparse ground
cover. |
