The frilled lizard (Chlamydosaurus kingii), also known as the frill-necked lizard or frilled dragon, is a species of lizard in the family Agamidae. It is native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea. Its common names come from the large frill around its neck, which usually stays folded against the lizard's body.
