This is an axis deer (Axis axis). Axis deer are found around India and the
Far-East. What most people notice about this deer is that the adults
have spots. Adult spots are very popular in Europe and Asia.
Fallow deer, sika deer, mouse deer, and axis deer all can have spots
throughout their lives. Female axis deer are somewhat smaller than the
males for some reason. Ladies, I don't know why this is so; I did not
make deer. Axis deer are considered the most beautiful of cervits, but I
like all types of deer. This is another picture from a
Natinal Geographic Magazine.
