The wolverine's strength and fearlessness make it a formidable predator. It will attack an animal twice its size, such as a lame or young elk. It has even been known to drag a lynx from a tree by its tail. The wolverine is also called the glutton, referring to its habit of killing more than it can eat in times of plenty and storing the remains. |
