Captured from a WONDERFUL MULTIMEDIA CD-ROM title,
"Eyewitness Encyclopedia of Nature",
Dorling Kindersley Multimedia, 1995
Caption:
BETWEEN 230 million and 65 million years ago dinosaurs dominated life on land. Unlike other reptiles, such as lizards, dinosaurs had long, strait legs, which enabled them to keep their body off the ground. They moved easily on land and some could run well. Dinosaurs vaired widely - from giant plant-eaters, 90 feet (27m) long, to fast-moving meat-eaters, some less than 5 feet (1.5m) long.
FEARSOME HUNTERS
These typical meat-eating dinosaurs had strong hind limbs and huge jaws.
