Great argus pheasant, colourful bird native to Malaysia and Indonesia. The inner wing feathers are long, broad and marked with round eyespots. At mating time the male clears a site on his forest floor and performs a courtship display, elevating his wing feathers to form "reflectors" on each side of the back. Length: 1.8m.
