The green bee-eater (Merops orientalis) (sometimes little green bee-eater) is a near passerine bird in the bee-eater family. Merops orientalis cleopatra is found from from the Nile Valley to northern Sudan.
The blue-throated bee-eater (Merops viridis) is a species of bird in the family Meropidae. It is found in Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.
