ok, so no one has any Sciurus anomalus, the Persian Squirrel laying
around... that's ok.
how 'bout Douglas Squirrels, Tamiasciurus douglasii?
The Douglas Squirrel differs from its cousin, the Red Squirrel, because it
has a orangish buff belly in the summer (where the red squirrel has white)
and has an orange line of fur between the fur on its back and the fur on its
belly. Its overall color tends to be more grey-olive-brown than red. Its
tail hairs are yellow on the ends. Their range includes the southwest coast
of British Columbia (west of the peaks of the Cascade Mountains) and south
to California and the Sierra Nevada.
