Re: Panda eating a carrot
Hsing-Hsing. the National Zoo's last remaining giant panda died on November
28, 1999. He suffered from the complications of kidney failure associated
with advanced old age. At age 28, he had survived to become one of the
longest-lived giant pandas known.
The National Zoo in Washington D.C. is trying to raise the money to "rent" a
pair of giant pandas from China. The going rate is 8 million dollars per
year, per giant panda.
Attached is a photo of one of the last days that Hsing-Hsing well enough to
venture outside.
