Photo by J.H. Ribot, Brownsberg Suriname 1980. A bird of the
forests of the interior of Suriname. Hilty in "Birds of
Venezuela" describes that the birds have extended leks,
places where the males display with short fluttering and hovering
 flights, often along creeks. A
 sound
was recorded by Ottema at the Tafelberg in the midst of Suriname.
Each small square indicates the observation of at least one
(group) of these birds in Suriname, the medium ones at least 4
observations on different days and the largest ones 10 or more.
The color of each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow
for savanna and red for rainforest.
