Yes, cottonmouths have fangs, they're folded-back under the upper jaw. The
snake will usually only position it's fangs outward to bite. The snake is
simply warning me not to come any closer by displaying it's cotton white
mouth and hissing loudly, a defensive posture. Cottonmouths are venomous.
