Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) is a cosmopolitan bird of prey in the family Falconidae. It is occasionally known in North America as Duck Hawk (see also American Kestrel, Merlin) though it is not closely related to true hawks. It is a medium-sized falcon, about the size of a large crow.
