Description
English: Mountain dog on Dejima. Villeneuve’s note, in Dutch, states that because the animal was afflicted with ulcers and never stood up, he could only draw the Yamainu lying down. Hence the proportions seem to be somewhat distorted, particularly the legs.- Funk (2015)
Date 1826-1830
