The Arabian fat-tailed scorpion (Androctonus crassicauda) is considered one of the most dangerous species of scorpion following the deathstalker. It is commonly found in the exotic animal trade despite this information. Its habitat range extends from North Africa into the Middle East throughout the semi-arid and arid regions. It is a medium-sized species noted for its large-sized tail from which its name derives and with a scientific name that translates to ”fat-tailed man-killer.” The colour of the Arabian fat-tailed scorpion varies from a light brown to a darker brown and tends to feed on anything smaller and moving. |
