Mouflon, wild mountain-dwelling sheep of remote parts of Sardinia and Corsica. The coarse coat is mainly reddish-brown on the back and white underneath. The male has large, downward-curving horns; the mouflon is smaller than the argali and bighorn. Height: up to 70cm at the shoulder. Family Bovidae; genus Ovis musimon. |
