A large aggressive snake that is rather dull-coloured and attacks if cornered. The venom of this snake is neurotoxic (affecting the nervous system) and is produced in copious quantities and delivered through the large, canalate fangs. The upright stance and spread hood is characteristic of an angry cobra. Its small mammal diet makes it effective for rodent control. |
