Description: Body length is about 14 cm. Male: back and face is grayish-blue, eyebrow is white, lesser coverts, rump, uppertail coverts are dark blue. Belly is primarily white, sides of breast and flank are orange-yellow. Female: back and face are primarily olive-brown, around eyes are white. Throat is white in the center and olive-brown on the sides; upper-breast is light olive-brown, flank is orange-yellow, center of belly to undertail coverts are white.
Habits: Red-flanker Bluetail is a winter migrating bird in Taiwan. It usually appears alone in open fields around edges of forests at mid and low altitudes. It often swings its tail when rests.
Range: It mainly nests in open fields around edges of forests at mid and low altitudes.
