Port Jackson shark, species of shark living in the coastal waters of Australia; it is a member of the family Heterodontidae, the most primitive of the shark groups. It has two dorsal fins and five pairs of gill slits. Length: to 1.5m. Species Heterodontus portusjacksoni.
