Blyth's hawk-eagle (Nisaetus alboniger)
Blyth's hawk-eagles are black, medium-sized eagles that live in and around the Malay Peninsula. They form a clade with Nisaetus bartelsi (Javan hawk-eagle), Nisaetus kelaarti (Legge's hawk-eagle), Nisaetus nanus (Wallace’s hawk-eagle), and Nisaetus nipalensis (Mountain hawk-eagle). They are also a sister species to Nisaetus nipalensis. |
