In spite of the name "cat" sometimes given to it, the ringtail is not a cat,
but belongs with the procyonids (raccoons and coatis).

You have misclassified the Ringtailed Cat as a Felid. It is a Procyonid,
like the raccoon, coatimundi, olingo, kinkajou and red panda.
