 Description:	Body length: about 13cm, wing length: about 8cm. Bill—black; feet—light brown. Male: plumage is mainly dark mercury gray, forehead, lore, and cheeks are slightly black, belly is paler; flight feathers are black-brown; tail is chestnut-red. Female: plumage is dark grayish-brown; upper- and undertail coverts are white.
 Habits:	Plumbeous Water Redstart has a strong territorial sense, will drive out intruding birds; often stops on rocks, rocky walls near streets or wires. When standing on an object, it would open up its tail feathers into a fan-like shape and fans up and down. it often makes a “zi—” sound; it feeds on insects primarily, and would catch flying bugs back to its nest, and also eats spiders, millipede, and fruits from some plants.
 Range:	It nests on rock piles and cliffs around mountain streams at mid and low altitudes.
