White-fringed antwren
White-fringed antwren
Photo by J.H. Ribot, Hannoversavanne Suriname 1980 (and the
hand of Muriel Held). The bird is common in the savannas near
Zanderij airport. Foek Chin-Joe recorded
its call
(the repeating sound).
Each small square indicates the observation of at least one
(group) of these birds, the medium ones at least 4 observations
on different days and the largest ones 10 or more. The color of
each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow for savanna
and red for rainforest. This is a real savanna bird. The
observation in the middle of Suriname (red square: Tafelberg) was
also made on a small savanna.
