The size of the Guinea turaco is 40 to 43 centimetres. It has a weight between 225 and 290 grams. Its erect crest makes it a striking appearance. It has green feathers on its chest, neck, head and mantle. The green colour gradually changes to black on the back, rump and tail from top to bottom, with a metallic, violet sheen. |
