specifically it would be a coastal California grey, as they are able
to climb trees and others cannot, currentyly have two at the animal
rehabilitation shelter that I work at, very beautiful animals

Any gray fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) can climb trees by grasping it
with its legs or running up a leaning trunk.
