The large-clawed scorpion (Scorpio maurus), also known as the Israeli gold scorpion or Zerachia scorpion, is a species of North African and Middle Eastern scorpion of the family Scorpionidae. It has brown back and golden claws. These scorpions are found in very deep burrows in deserts and occasionally sparse woodland.
