Andean Milksnake ( L.t. andesiana)
This snake is native to the higher elevations of the Andes mountains in Colombia. It is also known to inhabit the highest altitude of any other milksnake... collected up to 9000 ft., and is the southernmost subspecies of all the milksnakes, with the exception of the Ecuadoran Milksnake (L. t. micropholis). Until about 1995 they were virtually unknown in the hobby. This beautiful captive-bred specimen was bred by Douglas H. Mong |
